Candle Care instructions
Soy wax has a memory. Seriously it does. It will only remember the burn radius of its last burn. Allow your candle to melt from edge to edge of the jar to prevent the creation of a “memory ring” which causes candle tunneling. This is especially important for the first burn. We recommend burning your candle for at least one hour but no more than four hours to ensure longevity of your candle and for maximum enjoyment.
Be sure to trim your candle wick to 1/4 inch each time before burning to ensure even burning and to prevent flaring and/or dripping. A too-long wick can cause a candle flame to grow too long and flare. Do not allow debris to take up residence in your wax pool. Keep your candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Do not burn your candle for more than four hours at a time. Burning your candle for more than four hours can cause the candle vessel to overheat and crack. Do not burn your candle all the way down. Extinguish the flame if it comes too close to the container. For a margin of safety, discontinue use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains.
Let’s be mindful about where we burn our candles. Always burn candles within sight and away from drafts, other heat sources, and flammable objects. Make sure burning candles are out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended. When burning multiple candles, place them at least three inches apart from one another. This helps ensure they do not overheat one another, or create their own drafts to cause improper burning.
Wax Melt Care & Safety Guide
While using wax melts can create a cozy atmosphere, it’s crucial to prioritize safety. Please follow these Wax Melt Safety Tips to ensure a worry-free experience:
Never leave a wax warmer unattended while it’s in use. Always extinguish the warmer or turn it off before leaving the room.
Keep wax melts and wax warmers out of reach of children and pets.
Place the wax warmer on a stable and heat-resistant surface before turning it on. Keep it away from flammable objects to prevent accidents.
Do not eat wax melts.
Store your wax melts in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This will preserve their quality, colour and scent.
Use a candle snuffer or turn off the wax warmer instead of blowing out the flame, as blowing may cause hot wax to splatter.
Keep the wax warmer away from hanging edges and avoid placing it near water sources.
Wax Warmer Burning Instructions
To ensure an enjoyable and safe wax melting experience, follow these Wax Warmer Burning Instructions:
Place your wax melts in a wax warmer or burner specifically designed for melting wax. Do not add water to the wax.
Place your wax melt into the wax warmer’s dish or tray, ensuring it doesn’t overflow.
Avoid leaving the wax warmer on for extended periods. It is recommended to use it for a maximum of 3-4 hours at a time.
You can reuse your wax melt until the scent has faded. Once the scent has dissipated, remove the wax residue and replace it with a new wax melt.
To remove solidified wax from the warmer, briefly turn on the warmer for less than a minute until the bottom surface of the wax softens. This will make it easier to pull out the wax.
Allow the wax warmer to cool down before handling or adding more wax melts.
